Sorbonne University has been deeply committed to the promotion and the development of open science for many years. Erin Kissane posted a long and well researched article about Threads federation risks and trust and safety issues around Meta. If you're taking part in the debate and discussions about Threads federation - or if you're instance admin on the fence - you should really read this.
