Federation to lemmy.ml is also affected it seems. My post from 7 hours ago just recently got through.

... but I tried another comment now and it did get there no problem, so I guess it got better.

Interesting choice over there to close the issue so quickly rather than asking for more info, although you didn't give them much to go on.

I wonder what was the resolution of the previous problem that frequently caused this sort of thing? Was the error handling improved such that we might reasonably expect the processing to keep going when it hits something it doesn't like, or was it just a quick fix for the one specific thing that happened to be breaking it at the time? Did that one make it to the github tracker?

To get to another instance there is the "Magazines" link at the top of the page, or just go directly to the one you want such as https://fedia.io/m/anarchychess@sopuli.xyz

To create a new one is under that '+' icon at the top of the page. Looks easy but I haven't tried it yet.

That appears to be a bug. I've seen similar problems before but never on an active kbin community. Maybe @melroy has some idea?

Hi all. I was recently made aware that people have been getting error 429's and other error 500's when visiting fedia.io. In case it's not obvious that it's gone wrong just now, it's started giving me 500 and 502 errors. ... and now it's stopped.

Damn has it been that long already? I saw the moment when it broke, it appeared to coincide with a network outage after a couple weeks of being reliable. It's got to be some kind of simple little bug so I even started looking at the code but didn't get anywhere yet.

The more I see of its sysop the more I like this place. Thanks for keeping it all running.

Whilst it's on my mind can you recommend a place to report general mbin bugs? It doesn't seem able to see m/baduk@lemmy.ml and a few others I've noticed. Neither was kbin until recently.
