alexstandiford, to random WPTavern launched a forum today. How amazing would it be if they federated this?
thisismissem, to random Huh, another way folks might be able to support my work on the Fediverse is through a nomination as a “GitHub Star”, which looks to be a potential program for getting additional backing: https://stars.github.com/nominate/
thisismissem, to random Whew! Already at 2400 words written about Fediverse Moderation Tooling, and the potential future directions we can take. This is quite the undertaking!
Yes, most of my time over the past few weeks has been spent writing literature and proposals on moderation tooling, which honestly is an under-appreciated task essentially to improving the fediverse.
I'll also be doing up some slides with a summary of my thoughts for @fediforum.
fediforum, to random It's less than 24 hours to the start of #FediForum
In about an hour, we'll host a little pre-event "Meet and Greet" where attendees can casually stroll in, check out the venue (QiQo) and make sure their audio and video is working, so we can have a smooth start tomorrow.
Registration is still open, join us to discuss the most important and urgent, any many other topics in the #Fediverse? https://fediforum.org
SirTapTap, to random Depressing that "more than half of americans plan to get latest covid booster" is good news, but it's better than last round. Hopefully utterly idiotic partisan divide is starting to wane.
Just get your shots. Yeah even republicans. I fucking hate you but your corpses are fucking up our medical systems, stop it.

jooleee, to science Recent research dives deep into the impact of autism on marital bonds. Over a 30-year span, parents of children with autism showcased a 36% divorce rate, with specific peak periods. Surprisingly, families of verbally adept autistic teenagers faced unique stressors, leading to higher divorce rates. The strength and resilience of these families remind us of the unique challenges they face.

cliffwade, to random What is the story behind the profile picture you are currently using here on the #Fediverse today?
The other day I asked for everyone to share their story of the username(s) that they use, and you can see that thread here:

Let's hear why you've chosen the image you've chosen!
iLikeGoats, @cliffwade I like goats.
yourautisticlife, to random Suppose someone blocks me. The feeling is mutual, so I want to block them too.
Am I able to block them after they've blocked me?
This is what I call mutual blocking.
Is mutual blocking in the fediverse possible at all?
Is mutual blocking possible on Mastodon?
I don't see these two questions as equal. It could be possible to mutually block at the level of ActivityPub, but also for Mastodon to not have an interface that allows us doing it.
I know on some platform this is not possible. Once you block someone, you vanish out of existence, and they cannot also block you.
However, I'm thinking that it is possible to mutually block one another in the fediverse and Mastodon.
I've searched the web and I haven't found a discussion of this.
feditips, As far as I know, there's no direct way to do this in vanilla Mastodon as the menu which includes the block option becomes inaccessible when they block you.
It might be possible on ActivityPub, but not on vanilla Mastodon.
yourautisticlife, Thanks.
I've not tried it, but I expect that if you can get the username, you could put it in a CSV file and import and merge that file into your block list.
That's a workaround, however.
elmine, to random So I activated #ActivityPub on infullflow.net, but the user profile I created cannot be found when I search for it on Mastodon. Not sure what the problem is. Now what?
