'Hide thread' feature (kbin.social)
Are there plans for a 'hide thread' feature, under 'more'? (next to comment and boost)...
This magazine is from a federated server and may be incomplete. Browse more on the original instance.

Still no API to enable official apps and no moderation tools. It really feels like it's lagging behind Lemmy at this point. Lemmy's growth has significantly outpaced kbin and it feels like it's going to just die a slow death now....
I tried to delete my account weeks ago and I am still waiting.

As scrolling to the bottom of the page to leave a comment can be a hassle on posts with lots of existing comments, an option to put the thread comment box above existing comments would be helpful....
Some threads that are visible when logged out become invisible when logged in. This seems to apply to all magazines and all instances - I am not completely blocked from an instance or a magazine, they just don't show all the threads. This seemingly started relatively recently, because I now cannot open a thread that I commented...
I don't want to hurry anyone, just asking what's up, if there's been any trouble or anything....
Ive spent the last week in shock at the lack of moderation because magazines and federated stuff is only moderated by @ernest who I know is busy with development. But the magazines that are on kbin.social and were setup as "Template" magazines are getting trashed either with spam/porn or toxic comments that were reported long...
I know Ernest is working on getting ready to update kbin.social but are there any other instances which are faster with the bug fixes and updates?
Recently, I have noticed that when I make a post anywhere on the fediverse, I am no longer able to see that post, or any comments in it. If someone does post a comment, I will get the notification, and will be able to see the first few words of the comment, but if I click on the notification to see the full thread, it’ll not...
No real issue with comments, but my posts only show up on this server, and not on the remote one. This is so bad that I was thinking on getting a Lemmy account for posting there.
Sometimes I write a really good post/comment that I want to come back to I the future, such as copying and pasting....
Per the title. Just wondering if we're going to see any response if we start seeing users from particular instances spreading terrorist propaganda or supporting them.
I had to block a few users yesterday. Today, I noticed about ten notifications from users I've blocked—they replied to me, continued to make up lies about my heritage, and I continued to see their comments in my notifications....

I’m developing a fediverse application and am torn between using lemmy and kbin for the backend. Private messages are a very important feature that I want to include. Does Kbin support private messaging users the way lemmy does?
For example see this comment:...
For some reason I just can't block @196. For several month, on PC and on iPhone. I can block other communities, but not this one. It goes into page with saying that over next few days the infrastructure will be updated. I thought in a few days it would be resolved, but it is more than two month. I thought maybe this is not known...
I tried messing around with other instances and all of their interfaces are terrible and confusing! I don’t think I could ever use anything other than kbin.
Today, a technical server malfunction occurred. Unfortunately, it wasn't the planned update yet. The upcoming one will definitely be much shorter ;)...
Blocking any domain by going to something like "kbin.social/d/reddit.com" and blocking it seems to remove posts at random. The pinned post for the planned October outage is no longer visible.
This appeared when attempting to view a Kbin image attachment from a federated instance....
I've just discovered that lemmy.world (and potentially other) users I've banned from my magazine are still able to comment, comments I can't see on kbin but that do show up on lemmy.world....
Not sure where to report this exactly but media.kbin.social has an expired Let's Encrypt certificate (expired Tue, 03 Oct 2023 14:47:25 GMT) and this is causing problems loading various images across the site -- e.g. user avatars (sometimes), images copied from various Lemmy instances, and image threads made on kbin....
This week (at the latest at the beginning of next week), there will be a several-hour technical break. A banner with detailed information about this will appear 24 hours before the planned work....
