After creating a new photo post to https://fedia.io/m/lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world it seems to automatically convert it to a thread post and it loses the photo, figured i'm not the only one having this issue...
Unplanned downtime on Fedia.io (fedia.io)
The (relatively new) server that Fedia.io was running on, a Hetzner AX 162-R, died overnight. Hetzner tells me that the main board failed and had to be replaced. In the process of repairing, the raid set got corrupted and would no longer boot....

Hi, it appears that federation is down on Fedia. I haven't seen any new posts all day. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

I will be rehoming fedia.io to a less expensive server the afternoon of July 1 - exact timing is TBD. Downtime should last about 2 hours. The current server is quite expensive and donations are dwindling, which is normally ok, but I am losing my job and have to be a bit more frugal.

I spent an incredible amount of time over the past few days unf*cking the fedia.io database. It should be clean now and that should both dramatically improve performance and fix all or most all of the remaining error 500’s

First, I want to thank those who pointed me to mbin. I spent about 14 hours today with help from the mbin team on and off and found/fixed many problems....
