You can set the default landing page here https://fedia.io/settings/general it's the first option for homepage. The options are all, subscribed, favorites, and moderated, make sure to click save near the bottom and not the delete account button.
The closest you can get is blocking those domains, it won't remove everything from them but there isn't a block instance option at the moment, so remote link posts will still appear from them.
Are we still having trouble? A thread I posted 45 minutes ago hasn't shown up on the instance I posted it to yet. The "Open original URL" menu on the post goes to the Fedia page instead of LemmyWorld. It seems like a comment I posted 2 hours ago is also not appearing on the original instance, either.
the privacy policy for kbin.earth is just empty for me, on Ungoogled Chromium. I get the page title in large bold, but then an empty box below it despite enabling some foreign 3rd party JS (jwr.one).
But I must say, something like Cloudflare should not be buried in a privacy policy. It should be something that no one misses especially if Tor is whitelisted. A lot of Tor users likely rely on CF’s “just one moment..” page to know it’s a CF page (a mitm we usually want to avoid).
Assuming Cloudflare counts as a CDN, then kbin.earth is also behind one. It's always been behind Cloudflare, but only recently (a few months ago) have I taken advantage of it's caching and security layers.
Where there such complaints in kbin? In kbin if they downvoted you usually they would explain their reasoning promoting discussion. Anonymous downvoting creates in my opinion less positive environment for civil growth and discussion.
Report at least one of the posts from any spam account you see. I try to suspend and delete them as I see them, but alas I am not omniscient and don’t know where all the spam accounts are
it may be related to the ongoing federation problems. https://fedia.io/m/french@sopuli.xyz is working now for me. there are no posts in it yet on our instance because no one had subscribed to it until now.
Thanks for the investigation and tips. I was able to see it by querying the substring you mentioned.
I didn’t even think this thread herein posted. Got the 500 error a couple times when posting here and in mdev, and gave up. I forgot that error 500 often happens /after/ the task executes, hence some dupe threads.
