With the abandonment of Artemis (formerly kmoon), kbin is now only really usable by the mobile site. The site is really not suited for mobile devices however, and there have been minimal user-facing changes in the last few months....
Recently, I have noticed that when I make a post anywhere on the fediverse, I am no longer able to see that post, or any comments in it. If someone does post a comment, I will get the notification, and will be able to see the first few words of the comment, but if I click on the notification to see the full thread, it’ll not...
I have received my first comment on this post, and yes, I am unable to view it. Just the notification.
To answer the part of your question that I could read, yes I have five instances blocked. Does that prevent me from viewing comments on my own posts in other instances?
I tried messing around with other instances and all of their interfaces are terrible and confusing! I don’t think I could ever use anything other than kbin.
Maybe I spoke too soon…anyone have any idea why I have gotten 3 notifications for comments in this post, but when I view the post it shows no comments?
Huh…this whole time there were two separate options for it. For some reason I remember the one for “threads” to be at the bottom like the “microblog” one is now. Anyway, thanks for helping me figure this out. Time to turn the confusing thumbnails off again!
I’m sure there are ways to do this on desktop, but in mobile, as far as I can tell, if I come across a nsfw community on my thread and I want to block I, I can’t do that without first clicking on the link to the community feed.
My posts seem to become invisible to me after I post them, and I am unable to view any comments to my posts, even my own. I get notifications that I have comments, but when I click the notification to view the thread so I can read the full comment, all of the comments are missing.

kbin sounds a lot like kabin, or かびん／花瓶, which means vase in Japanese.
We really need a way to block communities on mobile without having to actually enter them. (kbin.social)
