Ah, so it wasn't just me? I thought I must have done something weird with my formatting to mess up federation. Since the post you mentioned, this has happened on two more posts with images and a link post. I'm not trying to break Fedia, I promise!

I left that comment five hours ago and it didn't federate either. I can see it on Fedia but not on Kbin.social. I thought comments always federated, but maybe not? It looks like there's another bug to squash somewhere. @jerry and @melroy have been doing an amazing job running a cool social media platform to run on this cursed code base.

Me too. Next time I notice something I post doesn't federate, I'll give you a shout out on infosec.exchange if it's easier for you.

Thank you! My 500 Server errors appear to be all fixed now. I'll try not to accidentally double post and then delete one of their thumbnails, if that still causes the error.

    @e569668 Wow, that worked! Thank you! Click here to turn off "Show thumbnails". I wish I could delete my thread that's causing error 500 on every page where the thumbnail would appear. But when I try to delete it, I get an error 500 there too and the thread isn't deleted.

    @Pauliehedron @e569668 Well, it's a little better. The thread with the broken thumbnail image no longer produced a 500 Server error, so I was able to delete it. The /m/FloatingIsFun microblog still only returns 500 Server errors, and since that's the interface we use to write new microblog posts, I can't write them anymore.

    @e569668 @Pauliehedron I wrote a microblog post with that link to test it. The magazine's full microblog on Fedia still gives 500 Server errors, but I can read the individual post on Fedia with a link., I can also read the post on Kbin.social and on Lemmy. It was worth a shot.

    @Pauliehedron Holy crap, @melroy fixed it! I wondered why my profile started working again. I had no idea Jerry was about to give up on kbin, but we're now running Melroy's fork of kbin! Hail mbin!
