A YouTuber I like once described this movie as being “like someone is trying to give you a learning disability”. That always stuck with me.

It was meant as a joke. Both the YouTuber in question and myself enjoy the film. He was commenting on how it feels to watch the movie if you haven’t read the book.

I'm getting tired of making generally bad OC

I’ve made quite a few posts to /c/risa that are actual OC. I’m either horrible at humor, the timing is bad, or it doesn’t work for whatever reason. Extremely low effort memes? Lots of upvotes. If I do high effort stuff that takes an hour or more, I’m just discouraged by the lack of even comments....

Nobody wants OC for OC’s sake. They want entertaining content. Effort is irrelevant. Frankly I looked at your post history and your risa posts aren’t that funny to me. Which makes sense if you’ve been forcing yourself to make them. Humour should come naturally.

When Avatar first came out, a friend of mine described it as “Pocahontas with a tech demo” and I’ve had a hard time enjoying it since. The story is really similar.
