"This week, I also refreshed the project's code, and it seems like I'm slowly getting back on track regarding health matters."
I am glad you are getting better.
I will have to have a look into helping with moderation though I take it site moderation is at the instance level unless you mean for magazines?
If you use ublock origin adding the following to the filter list should help.
fedia.io##article.entry:has(aside.meta > a.magazine-inline[href$="@hexbear.netl"])
True this is only a temporary fix so there is less spam until we get proper moderation.
I actually thought the post didn't work when I first posted it because it did not show up due to the filters.
Using these filters combined with blocking /m/internet didn't block all the spam but made it more tolerable for me.
The only other options that I can think of is it report spam or apply to be a moderator.
I have noticed a few (Error 50x) appearing especially if I sort by new. A sort of work around I have found is going to someones username to see what they post.
This post for example did not appear but I was able to find it by going to moderators in the sidebar and clicking Ernest.
Working on Kbin is a lot of work and as far as I know Ernest is a solo dev. So we should be patient and give him all the time he needs.
They appear to have stopped for now.
The only one I saw is u/locutor99 which was created 11 hours ago but I am not sure if it connected to the other ones since the posts are about dubbing and not watching movies.
As someone who uses Both kbin and lemmy I started removing my upvotes on lemmy because I thought did it by accident until I realized with lemmy it does that automatically when you post something making the default score 1 but on kbin it is 0 because it does not do that. Still the idea of upvoting yourself to get a higher point score just seems silly.
